So I'm trying out preview versions of Apo 7X 15C [link] and this flame popped up first in a random batch. I didn't tweak it at all, so obviously this was not an artistic endeavor. I just got lucky! The primary variation at work here is the dc_mandelbrot plugin, but I can find no link for it.
In fact there is a line that's mandatory for my (personal) random batches: Options.Variations[0] := False; But you are right about 2. I have seen great masses of messy flames. I like the rare outliers like this one. I see other atypical flames too, and say to myself, I should clean that one up later. Later never comes of course. :/ Just for kicks though, I'll try some linear-only batches soon.
No I don't. It's kind of a sneaky unreleased thing. But it made it in the ISIS database and thus in the plugin pack being shipped with the console renderer
1) more fun
2) more beautiful (less messy)
3) faster loading
